For young professionals and students, salary is not the most important driver for their job satisfaction. The use of social media, working from home and the phenomenon known as BYOD (bring your own device, not being pushed in using Windows or Blackberry) are far more important. Two in five students and 45 percent of the young professioals would settle for a lower salary when they’re offered more flexibility. These results can be found in the 2011 Cisco Connected World Technology Report, that you can find below. In the research, 2800 GenY’ers participated.
